Robert Wagner, woodworker in Greensboro, North Carolina creates tables, benches and other furniture pieces using unique combinations of solid woods and exotic and domestic veneers.  Crafted using loose mortise and tenon construction Robert finds the use of veneers to be an environmentally sustainable approach to his work while still preserving the beauty of hard-to-find woods. His tables come in a variety of wood combinations and sizes.

A self-taught woodworker since 1985, Robert’s current emphasis is on crafting fine tables and benches. His earliest work began with a unique design of Adirondack chairs and other outdoor furniture made in cypress and mahogany, well before the big companies discovered the style and plastics. Through the years, he has built a wide-range of furniture including dressers, desks, tables, beds, potting stands and more.

Robert’s current line of hall and sofa tables are made from a combination of solid woods and exotic veneers of the highest quality. He has found the use of veneers to be an environmentally sustainable approach to his work while still preserving the beauty of hard-to-find woods. His tables come in a variety of wood combinations and sizes.  Tables may be custom ordered.

Robert and his wife live in Greensboro, NC. His tables may be seen in a variety of locations including Mary’s Antiques (Greensboro), Green Hill Center for NC Art (Greensboro) and 7 Sisters Craft Gallery (Black Mountain).
