The Art of Fine Craft
Since 1970 the Carolina Designer Craftsmen Guild has provided professional support and a profitable marketplace in the Southeast for contemporary and traditional fine craft artists. The Guild serves North Carolina by recognizing and promoting craft artists, encouraging and stimulating creativity, appreciation and activity in the major crafts, and conducting the region’s major Carolina Artisan Craft Market held annually in Raleigh in November.
This event is a premier juried exhibit and marketplace for Guild exhibiting artist members, provisional members and emerging artists in one of the most vital growth areas in the U.S. today.
Mark your calendar for our 47th annual event:
Carolina Artisan Craft Market, November 11 – 13, 2016
A non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, the Guild represents over 190 artists juried into the organization based on his or her original work. The craftsmen’s work must reflect a mastery of technique and originality of design. Our members work includes the following media: basketry, clay, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, wood, furniture, printmaking, photography and mixed media.
Please consider making a tax-deductible gift to the Guild, joining Friends of the Guild or volunteering! You’ll be investing in outstanding design, artistic growth, education and the appreciation of fine craft.
