The Art of Fine Craft
Since 1970 the Carolina Designer Craftsmen Guild has provided professional support and a profitable marketplace for contemporary and traditional fine craft artists. The Guild serves North Carolina by recognizing and promoting craft artists, encouraging and stimulating creativity, appreciation and activity in the major crafts, and conducting the region’s major Carolina Artisan Craft Market held annually in Raleigh in November.
Mark your calendar and join us for our 49th annual event, November 2 – 4, 2018 at the Raleigh Convention Center!
A nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization, the Guild represents over 180 artists juried into the organization based on his or her original work. The craftsmen’s work must reflect a mastery of technique and originality of design. Our members work includes the following media: basketry, clay, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, wood, furniture, printmaking, photography, 2-D and 3-D mixed media.
Please consider making a tax-deductible gift to the Guild, joining Friends of the Guild or volunteering! You’ll be investing in outstanding design, artistic growth, education and the appreciation of fine craft.
