Laura Balombini is a Mixed Media Artist working out of her studio at Upper Curve #9 Gallery & Studios, in the River Arts District, Asheville North Carolina.  Laura creates sculptural narratives using earthenware clays and found objects. Laura Balombini

Laura Balombini is a Mixed Media Artist working in her studio at Upper Curve #9 Gallery & Studios, in the River Arts District, Asheville North Carolina.  She creates sculptural narratives using earthenware clays and found objects.  Storytelling is integral to the way we pass along histories, events or express joy and sorrow.  Through her work Laura is the teller of tales.

Inspired by and grounded in the creative process, when Laura isn’t sculpting with clay and found objects she can be found at her easel painting or at the sewing machine creating one of a kind repurposed art to wear.

Born in Pittsburgh, Laura received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics from Edinboro University in Pennsylvania.
