The Art of Fine Craft

Carolina Designer Craftsmen Guild presents: Carolina Artisan Craft Market, Nov. 6-8, 2015 in downtown Raleigh, NCSince 1970 the Carolina Designer Craftsmen Guild has provided professional support and a profitable marketplace in the Southeast for the finest contemporary craft artists.  The Guild serves North Carolina by recognizing and promoting craft artists, encouraging and stimulating creativity, appreciation and activity in the major crafts, and conducting the region’s major Carolina Artisan Craft Market held annually in Raleigh in November.

The Carolina Artisan Craft Market is a premier juried exhibit and marketplace for Guild exhibiting artist members, provisional exhibitors and emerging artists in one of the most vital growth areas in the U.S. today.

A non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, the Guild represents over 190 artists juried into the organization based on his or her original work.  The craftsmen’s work must reflect a mastery of technique and originality of design. Our members work includes the following fine craft media: basketMarti Mocahbee creates clay teapots, bowls, cups and saucers, plates, vases and lidded jars inspired by cultural and historical influences, color and form.ry, clay, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, wood, furniture, printmaking, photography and mixed media.
