Sarah Tector, Jeweler

Sarah Tector, jeweler in Raleigh, North Carolina, creates custom made, one-of-a-kind, limited edition and production pieces of jewelry.  Working in sterling silver, gold filled, cast bronze, and powder coated pieces, Sarah’s design philosophy is simple: less is more.

Most recently Sarah explores color and texture.  She’s introduced hand-felted wool, rubber dipping, color gels with hand stitching to wire frameworks, enamels, powder coating, and vinyl into her line of necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings.

Sarah Tector

I mainly work in sterling silver, gold filled, cast bronze, and powder coated pieces.  I enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone into other materials and mediums. Over the years I have made custom, one-of-a-kind, limited edition, and production pieces of jewelry and small sculptural objects.

I was educated at East Carolina University (graduating with a BFA in Art Education, concentration in Metal Design) and Penland School of Art & Crafts, for glass blowing/casting and mixing gold.

I now make my home in Raleigh, NC. I’ve basically been an artist since I was able to hold a crayon. As long as my work keeps making me smile and other people happy, I will keep on creating.

Inspiration comes at me in many shapes and forms, even a silly word like squirrel can snowball into a new series. In a nutshell: blow torches are cool, robots rock, and I hope the world never runs out of queso dip.
