The Art of Fine Craft
Since 1970 the Carolina Designer Craftsmen Guild has provided professional support and a profitable marketplace in the Southeast for the finest contemporary craft artists. The Guild serves the region by recognizing and promoting craft artists, encouraging and stimulating creativity, appreciation and activity in the major crafts, and conducting the region’s major fine craft show.
This annual event is held Thanksgiving weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina. It provides a premier juried exhibit and marketplace for Guild exhibiting artist members, provisional exhibitors and emerging artists in one of the most vital growth areas in the U.S. today.
A non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, the Guild represents over 200 craftsmen juried into the organization based on original work made by the artist. The craftsmen’s work must reflect a mastery of technique and originality of design. Our members work includes the following fine craft media: clay, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, wood, furniture, printmaking, photography and mixed media.
